Title: Financial Director, Colombia
Mr. German Rueda Gomez brings to GIC Group more than 20 years of agribusiness experience in both the private and public sectors. His has done work in the ranching, grains, perishable crop, forestry, and ornamental horticulture industries in a number of Latin American countries, as well as the United States and Spain. He has also been involved in the development of financing programs and export assistance for fruit and flower producers. Lastly, Mr. Rueda Gomez has developed, implemented, and managed two large reforestation projects in Colombia.
Mr. Rueda Gomez has taught a range of courses in the agricultural sector and has authored several articles for the international magazine “Agricultura de las Americas,” including “Comeback to the Farm,” Ecological Nutrition,” and “Healthy Foods.”
Education:
Professional Technician in Agricultural Management Degree, Cor-Universitec, 1990.
Academic work included project development, finance and administration, executive-level project management, and agricultural management.
Other studies: Mechanical Engineering, 1983-1987.
