GIC maintains
a full-time staff to help plan, develop and implement strategic
approaches to help access international markets for agricultural
commodities. We work with local, state and federal government
agencies, together with private sector companies interested in
expanding the demand for high quality fruits, vegetables, meat,

Market
Research
Using proven
resources that provide import data of target countries,
key buyers and promotional activities as well as
competitive threats and local economic conditions,
the GIC team assembles a detailed analysis of opportunities with
a realizable set of recommendations for successfully penetrating
specific export markets.
Additionally,
GIC has compiled databases of foreign buyers, purchase histories,
commodity preferences, seasonality of purchases, etc., that are
all carefully incorporated into the strategic framework before
going to the marketplace.
New
Customer Acquisition
By selectively
utilizing Trade Missions and Trade Shows, GIC introduces
US exporters to potential buyers, wholesalers, distributors and
government officials.
Reverse Trade
Missions to the US
are also a proven method of acquainting overseas
buyers with their US seller counterparts and their production/processing
facilities.
Export
Advisory
GIC has in-depth
knowledge ofimport regulations,
key distribution channels and important growth trends that
provide for a smooth transaction. Services include originating
tenders, logistics, freight negotiations, pricing, import permits,
contract negotiations, closing deals, and follow-up activities.
Training
programs for exporters are achieved by GIC through workshops and
seminars aimed at educating producers about the opportunities,
constraints and contacts necessary for specific targeted markets.
