WTO On-Line
GIC has launched a new trade service with
the law firm of Ablondi, Foster, Sobin & Davidow, a firm specializing
in international trade cases and regulatory proceedings. WTO/FTAA
ON-LINE provides the following three basic services:

information on negotiation proposals and
competitors' agendas;

analysis of likely scenarios and trade
policy impact assessments; and
-
trade-weighted commercial intelligence.
WTO/FTAA ON-LINE helps agribusiness companies
and related associations with strategic planning, competitive positioning,
risk management strategies, and operations. Subscribers receive
reports triggered by the following:

Meetings of agriculture negotiating groups,
which are not yet established but will be after the summit, for WTO and
FTAA (Free Trade Areas of America); and
-
Tabled proposals;
Electronic reports on commercial, political,
and regulatory developments are also provided periodically to subscribers
depending upon specific trade initiatives.
