Dawson Williams oversees GIC’s business activities for Latin America. His duties consist of market research and analysis for GIC Consulting Services and financial analysis and investment valuation for GIC Financial Services. Mr. Williams also manages the marketing and technical assistance components for export promotion to Latin America.
Mr. Williams comes to GIC Group with a strong background in agricultural labor economics and the horticultural industries having spent four years working in California agriculture for a leading agricultural policy think tank. In addition, Mr. Williams has worked in the Latin America region, most recently at the Banco Estado de Chile, the highest rated public bank in South America. In that capacity, he worked on SME matters and focused on client relationship management, strategic planning and business development. Mr. Williams has also spent time in the private equity realm with an international fund of funds. He speaks fluent Spanish.
