Rick Gilmore, President/CEO of GIC Group, has been named Interim Trustee by the Federal Trade Commission in the merger of the agribusiness companies Agrium Inc. and UAP Holdings Corp. His responsibilities will include supervising the divested assets until such time as they are acquired by one or several third parties. He will also monitor these transactions and Agrium’s compliance to the FTC Order.
GIC previously served as an FTC Trustee involving Bayer CropScience and Syngenta divestiture transactions. Gilmore indicated that GIC’s trusteeship work complements its financial services for corporate clients.
